West Bengal: Verbal spat erupts between cops, BJP MP over his visit to constituency during lockdown

A verbal spat took place between West Bengal Police and BJP MP Arjun Singh after the latter was stopped from visiting his constituency. The cops were claiming that the BJP MP was defying lockdown norms. Singh maintained that he is an MP and he does not need any permission to visit his constituency. The cops said that the MP did not take any prior consent of police as the state is witnessing lockdown to contain the spread of coronavirus.
