West Bengal Government upgrades Sourav Ganguly's security cover to 'Z' category
The West Bengal government has recently made the decision to elevate the security cover of former Indian cricket team captain and ex-BCCI president Sourav Ganguly to 'Z' category, according to a senior official. Following the expiration of his previous 'Y' category security, a thorough review was conducted as per protocol, leading to the decision to enhance Ganguly's security arrangements. Under the upgraded security arrangement, the renowned cricketer will be accompanied by a team of 8 to 10 police personnel to ensure his safety. Previously, Ganguly enjoyed the company of three policemen from the Special Branch, both during his movements and in guarding his residence in Behala. This significant security upgrade reflects the government's commitment to providing enhanced protection for Ganguly.
