The West Bengal government will today replace the bust of legendary reformer Ishwarchandra Vidyasagar that was damaged in TMC-BJP clash during Amit Shah's roadshow in Kolkata. CM Mamata Banerjee is expected to attend the ceremony at Vidyasagar College in which the vandalised bust will be replaced by a new one. PM Narendra Modi too had promised to install a new statue of the reformer at the same place. In fact, the West Bengal government has also decided to celebrate Vidyasagar's bicentenary in a grand way in the coming months.
