High tide waves that have been lashing the ghats of the Belur Math in West Bengal have created panic among monks and devotees of the holy place. The video of the incident is viral on social media, where a passenger ferry can be seen struggling on the water. Beluṛ Maṭh is the headquarters of the Ramakrishna Math and Mission, founded by Swami Vivekananda, the chief disciple of Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. It is located on the west bank of Hooghly River, Belur, West Bengal, India and is one of the significant institutions in Kolkata.
