Saradha scam: Ex-Kolkata top cop Rajeev Kumar ignores CBI summons

Ex-Kolkata top cop Rajeev Kumar ignored the summons to appear before CBI at the investigating agency’s Salt Lake office, sources close to him said. Rajeev Kumar reportedly wrote an email to CBI citing his wife’s ill-health behind his non-appearance and sought one month’s time to appear before the investigating agency. Kumar was asked to turn up at CBI’s Salt Lake office at 10AM on September 14 in connection with Saradha chit fund scam. According to sources, CBI is contemplating to move Kolkata high court against Kumar.
