Kolkata traffic police constable opens school for dalits in Purulia

Kolkata police traffic constable Arup Mukherjee has been instrumental in establishing a school-cum-hostel for dalit students for free in the Puncha block area of Purulia district. Arup started the ‘Puncha Nabadisha Model School’ in 2011 with 15-20 students and now 112 students are currently studying and staying here. \n
