Amid a political slugfest over his recall order, now-retired West Bengal chief secretary Alapan Bandyopadhyay has been given a reminder by the Centre, asking him to remain present in North Block at 10 am on Tuesday. "A show-cause notice can also be issued to him seeking his explanation as to why he did not join," an official said. Defying the initial orders which recalled him to New Delhi, Bandyopadhyay resigned from the post of WB chief secretary on Monday and joined Mamata Banerjee as an advisor for the next three years.
