Unlock 4.0: Kochi city getting choked with the influx of private traffic

The city that enjoyed freshness and space during the initial lockdown is now experiencing a chaotic situation where the flow and parking of private vehicles is concerned. With the unlock procedure, the city is almost back to normal. Yet with the increasing number of covid-19 cases in the district, fear of contacting the disease still lingers within the people and hence reluctant to use the public transport facility. This has resulted in an increased number of two wheelers and small vehicles flowing into the city. Subsequently bringing about obstructive parking along the narrow roads. The city is already experiencing lack of space for converting into parking areas and to make matters worse, the commuters are unwilling to use the 'pay and park' allotments as most cannot afford it.
