Travancore Devaswom Board to deposit 500kg gold in RBI

The Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) will deposit about 500kg of gold in the Reserve Bank of India’s gold monetisation scheme. TDB will get an approximate annual return of Rs 5 crore for the deposited gold. The gold identified for the scheme is mostly valuables donated by devotees.
