The Kozhikode police has seized 2.7 kg gold from a gold smuggler who had flown in an Air India flight from Bahrain. The smuggler who had initially managed to give the slip to airport security, was detained by the police. On examination, it was found that the man was carrying 2.7 kg gold in paste form on his body. This is the 30th case of seizure of smuggled gold at Kozhikode airport in last 2 months.
