Inkar Sabot, a robot inaugurated, the 11th edition of the annual cybersecurity conference, Cocon-2018 at Hotel Grand Hyatt. A live display using a prototype autonomous car along with a session on security concerns raised by hackers in the field of transportation was the highlight of the inaugural day. The conference is organized by the Society for the Policing of Cyberspace (POLCYB) in association with the Kerala State IT Mission and other agencies. As per the government policy to cut down expenses for public events in the aftermath of the floods, the police department is not spending the plan funds that were earmarked by the government for the conference this year.
