Eight Pakistani refugees granted Indian citizenship in Rajasthan's Kota
Eight Pakistani refugees, who were living in Kota since 2000, have been given Indian citizenship on December 30. All refugees had come from Sindh in Pakistan fleeing religious persecution. They all received certificates from the district collector of Kota. The citizens were very happy to become citizens of India. The passage of citizenship amendment act by Parliament has paved way for them to become a citizen of the country. On the other hand, several states have announced not to implement CAA and Kerala has brought a resolution against the CAA.
