A styrene gas leakage from LG Polymers has claimed 12 lives and over 400 were hospitalized in Vizag on Thursday. Locals are now staging protests inside the LG Polymers plant premises demanding closure of the plant citing that the plant was located in the residential area and the plant will pose threat to lives in the coming days. Though the police tried to pacify the locals, the agitating locals entered into heated arguments with the police and the locals also tried to attack some local YSR Congress party leaders.
