A representation was submitted by members from Transgender community in the office of Telangana Director General of Police (DGP) on Wednesday to include their community in the job notification given by Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board (TSLPRB) for the recruitment for sub-inspector and constables. Some members of transgenders, who protested in front of the DGP office on Wednesday, said that they are losing the opportunity to enter the police department as transgender category is not included. They claimed that about 200 members from the community have requisite qualification-- graduation and post-graduation, and are eligible for jobs notified by TSLPRB.
