Telangana to witness thunderstorm activity till May 9

The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad has extended the thunderstorm warning across the state till May 9. According to IMD, Hyderabad, at present, a cyclonic circulation exists over north interior Karnataka and neighbourhood and a trough from north interior Karnataka to south Kerala persists. Under its influence, thunderstorm activity will prevail over western, central and north-eastern Telangana. Of the 31 districts in Telangana, nearly 12 districts have received light to moderate rains. The rainfall activity has also led to a slight drop in mercury levels.

China has called for an immediate ceasefire in the escalating Iran war, warning that the “flames of war” risk spreading across the Middle East.
