Union Minister for Culture, Tourism and Development of North Eastern Region G Kishan Reddy on April 29 flagged off Bharat Gaurav Tourism Train from Secunderabad railway station in Telangana. SCR General Manager, Arun Kumar Jain along with other IRCTC and railway officials joined the minister at the flag-off. Union Minister said, “Bharat Gaurav Yatra has been doing the work of taking pilgrims to pilgrimage sites for 2-3 years, during which the railways make arrangements for their travel, accommodation etc. On the request of the public, the Railways has started Bharat Gaurav Yatra trains. From today till June 7, this train will take devotees to holy places like Jagannath Temple, Konark Sun Temple, Varanasi, Ganga, Ayodhya Ram Temple, Kashi Vishwanath and Triveni Sangam. The pilgrims are very thankful and give their blessings to PM Modi for this train. In the coming days, through the railway department, we will try to take this Gaurav yatra to many more places.”
