Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay taken for medical checkup after arrest, party holds protests

The BJP is holding protests in Telangana against what they say is the 'illegal arrest' of their state chief Bandi Sanjay. The police have arrested Bandi Sanjay and taken him for medical checkup before producing him in court. However, the police are yet to declare why they have arrested the BJP leader. Party leaders, on the other hand, claim that Bandi Sanjay has been arrested to sabotage PM Modi's planned mega rally in the state, preparations for which were being overseen by the Telangana BJP chief.
