In a jolt to the Congress, PCC secretary and Huzurabad assembly segment in charge P Kaushik Reddy on Monday sent his resignation letter to party president Sonia Gandhi and alleged that Malkajgiri MP A Revanth Reddy paid Rs 50 crore to AICC leader Manickam Tagore to get the post of the president of Telangana Congress. In retaliation, the Congress expelled Kaushik from the party terming him as a covert working for the ruling TRS. While Revanth Reddy issued a warning to the coverts to leave the party by month end, Tagore said he would send a legal notice to Kaushik for making baseless allegations and damaging his unblemished political career.
