Dr. N Purnachandra Rao from the National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI) issued a warning about the possibility of massive earthquakes in the Himalayan region, which could potentially impact Uttarakhand and Nepal in the near future. According to Dr. N Purnachandra Rao, NGRI chief scientist, the Earth's surface consists of several plates that are continually in motion. The Indian plate, which is moving approximately 5 cm per year, is causing stress to accumulate along the Himalayan region. "We have a strong network of 18 seismograph stations in Uttarakhand. The region referred to as the seismic gap between Himachal and western part of Nepal including Uttarakhand is prone to earthquakes that might occur at any time," added Dr N Purnachandra Rao.

Mark-48 Torpedo: The Deadly US Weapon That Delivered 'Quiet Death' To IRIS Dena | EXPLAINED

In a historic and devastating underwater strike, a US submarine has sunk the Iranian frigate IRIS Dena in the Indian Ocean using a Mark-48 torpedo. US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth described the "quiet death" of the vessel, marking the first time an American torpedo has sunk an enemy warship since World War II as the conflict with Iran expands across global waters. In a historic and devastating underwater strike, a US submarine has sunk the Iranian frigate IRIS Dena in the Indian Ocean using a Mark-48 torpedo.
