Devotee beaten up by security personnel in Tirupati for carrying tobacco

In a shocking reaction from security personnel, a devotee was beaten up at a checkpost in Tirupati. The reason for the assault was that the devotee was carrying a few packets of ‘gutka’ with him. While alcohol and tobacco are strictly prohibited in Tirumala, the video of the manhandling by security personnel has gone viral.
