Six top CPI (Maoist) cadres of Andhra have surrendered before the police, said Andhra Pradesh police on Thursday. The six Naxals have been identified as Chikkudu Chinna Rao, Vanthala Vannu, Madakam Somidi, Madakam Manglu, Poyam Rukini and Sodi Bheeme. “The Maoist cadres committee which operates in Andhra and Odisha Border has surrendered and we have produced them to the media today. Maoist has become redundant particularly among the traditional population. For the last two years, it has changed a lot in the ground condition. The government has introduced a lot of schemes in the tribal areas,” said Gautam Sawang, DGP, Andhra Pradesh.
