In a slight relief to people living in low lying areas of Delhi, Yamuna's water level declined to the level of 204.82 metres after reaching a high of 206.05 metres on Tuesday evening. The 'danger mark' for the river is 204.83 metres. Government officials say they will continue to monitor the floodplains and almost all low-lying areas have been evacuated while emergency boats are regularly scanning the river. Delhi government officials carrying out the evacuation of over 15,000 families from low-lying areas in Delhi, evacuated people are accommodated in 1,461 tents and temporary shelter homes.
