NDMC plans better disaster readiness
New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has decided to come up with a comprehensive plan for disaster management in its area. NDMC aims to identify necessary measures to avoid loss of lives and property in case of any disaster. A budget of Rs 10 crore for the financial year 2020-21 has been approved to provide scope for local initiatives and projects said NDMC chairman Dharmendra. The goals include redevelopment of seven prominent roads, self-defence training, 20 smart bus queue shelters, cycling clubs in schools, tablet-based Wi-Fi enabled classrooms, E-charging stations, E-scooters, AI-based chatbot facility, SSO for all citizen service and Command Control Centre.
