Delhi riots case: Absconding AAP leader Tahir Hussain arrested
The Delhi Police have arrested Aam Aadmi Party councillor Tahir Hussain in connection to a murder case during the Delhi riots. Hussain had been booked in the murder case of intelligence bureau staffer Ankit Sharma in northeast Delhi during the recent violence. The violence was over the new citizenship law. But Hussain was absconding. The AAP leader had earlier filed a plea to surrender before the Magistrate. On Tuesday, he had moved a Delhi court for an anticipatory bail plea. Earlier AAP had suspended him for his alleged involvement in the Delhi violence. The Delhi violence had left at least 42 people dead and around 200 injured.
