In a relief to the construction sector, the Supreme Court has relaxed its ban on construction in the Delhi-NCR region and allowed such activities during the day-time between 6 am to 6 pm. The decision will reinstate employment to hundred of casual workers and restore work at dozens of private and government projects. However, the ban on construction activities will continue until further notice. Meanwhile, the bench of Justices Arun Mishra and Deepak Gupta directed the Centre to explore all available anti-pollution technologies, including smog towers for the Delhi-NCR region.
