A four-storey building near Turkman Gate collapsed on Sunday around 11.15 am. No injuries or loss of life has been reported so far. The structure, near Chitli Qabar, was spread over 70 sq metres. The building was in a dilapidated condition and was vacated before the collapse. A North Delhi Municipal Corporation spokesperson said that the civic body received a call from SDM office Kotwali around 11.30 am on Sunday, informing them about the collapse. “The field staff of the building department reached the site with tools and labourers. The building was very old and the load of the entire structure was on floor slabs constructed with I-girders and Agra stone,” the official said.
