Congress undermining the sovereignty of India: Amit Malviya
Attacking Congress over Rahul Gandhi’s speech on foreign soil, BJP leader Amit Malviya on March 30 in Delhi alleged the party of undermining the sovereignty of India. The BJP leader recalled the incidents of Rahul Gandhi asking foreign counties to save India’s democracy and lampooned party leader Digvijaya Singh for doing something similar by thanking the German foreign office for raising questions over Rahul Gandhi’s Lok Sabha disqualification. “This is not the first time that Rahul Gandhi did something like this. He went out of India and asked people to save Indian constitution and then later refused that he never said that. This time, Digvijaya Singh thanked Germany’s Foreign Office for raising questions because Surat Court accused Rahul in a case. Congress is asking for help from foreign countries to save Indian democracy and interfere in the judiciary’s decision. This undermines the sovereignty of India,” Amit Malviya said. Rahul Gandhi has been disqualified as a Lok Sabha member post Surat Court’s verdict in 2019 defamation case involving Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s name.
