Punjab Jail Minister vows to make prisons crime-free, drug-free and mobile-free

After receiving threat from Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar, who was responsible in the high-profile Sidhu Moose Wala murder case, Punjab Jail Minister Harjot Singh Bains on August 29 said they are working on the front line to make prisons crime-free, drug-free and mobile-free. The minister said, 'Earlier Punjab jails were famous for the VIP treatment of gangsters, and politicians. There were photos on social media where the prisoners were enjoying VIP treatment inside the jail. As soon as the AAP government came to power, we assured to end VIP culture in Punjab jails. We have demolished VIP barricades. Very soon the day will come when Punjab prisons will be crime-free, drug-free and mobile-free. We are working hard to achieve this goal.'
