Schools and NGOs got into the World Earth Day groove recently with inter-school contests of photography, declamation, and poster-making. Students held road shows, cycle rallies and took a pledge to prevent environmental degradation. Several issues including saving species which are on the verge of extinction due climate change, deforestation, pollution and illegal poaching were also highlighted on the occasion.
