Kerala CPM leader Kodiyeri Balakrishnan's son Bineesh Kodiyeri was named by Mohammed Anoop, the mastermind of a drug racket in Bengaluru who was arrested by NCB last week. Anoop said that the CPM leader's son lent him money to take property on lease in Kammanahalli in Bengaluru in 2015 to start a restaurant. While Bineesh Kodiyeri has admitted to being a very good friend of Anoop since 2012, he denied having any knowledge of Anoop's drug links. "After 2015, he started a restaurant business and borrowed money from me. It wasn't just me, but many others he borrowed from as well. it is very shocking that he was involved in illegal activities like these. His family is also shocked," says Bineesh.
