Congress declares Siddaramaiah as next Karnataka CM, DK Shivakumar his solo deputy

Siddaramaiah is Karnataka's new Chief Minister. KC Venugopal announced the decision, ending the suspense that has carried on into the sixth day. The Congress won 135 seats in the elections held on May 10, wresting power from the BJP in the only southern state where it was in power.
