High schools in Karnataka reopened on February 14 after being shut due to the hijab row. As the High Court in its interim order had asked students not to wear any religious dress or item, Muslim students who reached schools with the hijab were told to remove the item before entering the campus. At some schools, this led to arguments between the parents and the teachers. At some schools, even female teachers had to remove their burka and hijab outside the gate before entering the campus.
