Karnataka CM Bommai announces interim salary hike of 17 pc to govt employees
Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai addressed the media on March 01. While addressing the media, CM Bommai announced an interim salary hike of 17 per cent to the government employees in the state. Bommai’s announcement came after government services were disrupted across the state due to the Government Employees Association’s decision to skip work demanding revision in salaries based on the 7th Pay Commission’s recommendations and withdrawal of the National Pension System (NPS).“After the discussion with the Government Employees Association representatives yesterday, we have also held talks with the finance officers. We have decided to give an interim salary hike of 17 per cent to the government employees. Orders are being issued,” Bommai said.
