Karnataka: 1 dead, over 20 hospitalised after drinking contaminated water in Ballari

A child died and more than 20 people fell ill after drinking polluted water in Ballari. They have been hospitalised as their condition deteriorated. Cops suspect that drainage water got mixed with drinking water and that was consumed by the villagers. The villagers reportedly consumed water from a place which was recently established for availing clean drinking water.
