Free travel for women in Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) and Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) bus under ‘Shakti Yojana’ is set to start today. Women would be able to travel for free by government buses across Karnataka. Locals reacted to the scheme. Some expressed happiness while some people shared their disappointment. While speaking to ANI, a resident of Bengaluru, Neena Kumari said, “No, this scheme is not good, people must work hard then only they will know the value of money.” A college student, Brinda said, “Government must share more information regarding the scheme, not all people are aware of it. We're very happy with this new facility.”
