Bengaluru: CM Yediyurappa inaugurates Green Line extension of Namma Metro
In a major relief to thousands of residents in south Bengaluru, Namma metro train services between Yelachenahalli and Silk Institute station rolled out on Thursday. On the occasion of Makar Sankranti, union minister for housing and urban affairs Hardeep Singh Puri inaugurated the Green Line extension virtually from New Delhi on Thursday evening. Chief minister BS Yediyurappa flagged off the train at 4.38pm from Konanakunte Cross station. However, regular commercial services will begin from 7am Friday. The section will have stations at Konankunte Cross, Doddakallasandra, Vajrahalli, Talaghattapura and Silk Institute.
