Ahmedabad: Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani performs ritual at Jagannath Temple

Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani today performed the Pahandi ritual at Ahmedabad Jagannath Temple. The symbolic procession is carried out as part of Rath Yatra for Lord Jagannath. Gujarat High Court has issued a late night directive to the government that chariots used for Rath Yatra would not be brought out of the temple premises. The traditional Rath Yatra at Puri, Odisha is also observed without devotees.
