Shehnai maestro Ustad Bismillah Khan’s 100th birth anniversary celebrated in Varanasi

The 100th birth anniversary of Shehnai (pipe musical instrument) maestro, Ustad Bismillah Khan, was marked by a musical tribute at the banks of mighty river Ganges in northern temple town of Varanasi. Khan's adopted daughter, Soma Ghosh, led the 'Yaad-e-Bismillah' celebrations. She said the significance of river Ganges in Khan's life was paramount.
