Singer Sukhwinder Singh said, ‘I have sung song for the stage adaptation of Mira Nair's film 'Monsoon Wedding'. Vishal Bhardwaj has composed the song. When he approached me to sing it, I requested him, 'Everyone who sings in English, does so with a Western accent. Instead of aping the West, I want to sing this song in an Indian raag'. People will be flabbergasted after they listen to my English song.’
