Will hire over 40,000 from engineering campuses: TCS

TCS said it will hire more than 40,000 engineering graduates from campuses this fiscal, more than it did last year. IT companies are building a strong bench to meet client demand which has gone up during the pandemic. The company hired more than 20,000 people in the first quarter. The company’s chief of global human resources said they expect attrition to go up and they will make all efforts to keep it down in the coming quarters. The company’s chief of global human resources had said on Thursday that the attrition rate at TCS, currently 7-8%, was “artificial” due to the pandemic.
