Sensex jumps over 550 points; Nifty closes above 12,250

Markets finished in green for the fifth straight session on November 6 with the benchmark BSE sensex rising over 550 points led by gains in banking and financial stocks. The 30-share BSE index rose 553 points or 1.34 per cent to close at 41,893; while the broader NSE Nifty settled 143 points or 1.18 per cent higher at 12,264.
