Indian shares opened higher on Wednesday, as a fall in global oil prices boosted sentiment, while investors awaited domestic retail inflation data and quarterly earnings results from IT firm Wipro later in the day.The NSE Nifty 50 index rose 0.21% to 17,020 as of 0347 GMT, and the S&P BSE Sensex was up 0.1% to 57,206.47.
