Sensex jumps 1,100 points; Nifty above 16,600

The Nifty is up 1.83% at 16,651, while the sensex is up 1.91% at 55,933. Both the indexes added more than 1% on Friday.All the major sub-indexes advanced today, with Nifty's IT sub-index leading the pack with a 3.6% rise.
