Petrol, diesel to come under GST? States must approve for the same, said FM Sitharaman

Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that petrol and diesel may come under the ambit of GST(Goods and Service Tax) only after states agree for the same. While speaking at the post-budget session organised by PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, FM Sitharaman said, “Once the states agree, we will have the petroleum products also covered by GST”.
