Govt may consider cut in excise duty on fuel prices

Global crude prices touching $60 per barrel, government mulling necessary measures to check the price rise of crude oil products in the country. In this direction the government may consider a cut in excise duty on fuel and also initiate talks with the states to reduce VAT on fuel prices.
