CPI inflation up at 6.07% in July; IIP rises to 2.1% in June

Retail inflation shot out of the government and central bank’s comfort zone to 6.07 per cent in July, as against 5.77 per cent a month ago. The index of industrial production (IIP) grew 2.1 per cent in June with a sharp growth in electricity but negligible activity in manufacturing.
