After acquittal in 2G scam case, Essar promoters say judgement vindicates their stand

The Essar group welcomed the judgement of the Special CBI court that acquitted all accused in the 2G scam case, including the group's promoters Ravi Ruia and Anshuman Ruia. The Ruias were accused of cheating the Department of Telecom by using Loop Telecom as a front to secure 2G licences in 2008.
