With the Me Too movement gaining extreme prominence in India, there was another name that came up with their story. Aspiring actress Kritika Sharma shared her story of how casting director Vicky Sidana tried to allegedly rape her in 2013.The actress also tried to file an FIR about the incident but it looks like things aren’t that cut and dry.

As reported by Mid-Day, the Versova police failed to register an FIR after Kritika went to them with a written complaint.

On October 18th, the actress went to the police station with her lawyer where she gave her statement of her ordeal. After completing the procedures, the police had assured her that she would get a copy of the complaint in the evening. However, when she went to get the copy, she learnt that the FIR had not been filed as the police wanted to investigate the matter first. Kritika also said that they harassed her during cross questioning and reduced her to tears. An officer from the Versova police force also gave his statement saying that since the matter is five years old, they need to check all facts before proceeding.
Meanwhile, Vicky Sidana has refused to comment on the matter as instructed by his lawyer.
