At a time when actors are heading to gyms and following contemporary, advanced exercise routines, Vikramjeet Virk has gone the desi way. The actor has been following the

style of workout regimen.

“Though I’ve been living in the metro for over 10 years, my mindset is still that of the village boy. So, when I wanted to lose some weight for a project, I started following the akhada routine of exercises. For instance, if I have to do pull ups, I do it using ropes. I take the help of heavy tyres to tone up. And I make sure I have a generous serving of desi ghee in my meals. This way, I’ve lost fat, but not my muscles,” he says.
