Gemini TV bags MLA rights for Rs 4.75 crore

Expectations around a movie can be gauged by the bidding war for a particular movie’s satellite rights by the respective channels. And of late, the primary players in the business: Gemini TV, Zee TV, ETV and Star MAA are no longer patronising small films but concentrating only on big films. Only if a small film does well at the box-office, is it being sought after by the channels. Coming to the point, latest news in the industry is that Gemini TV has bought the broadcast rights for the movie Manchi Lakshanalunna Abbayi (MLA). Starring Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead, the produced by Kiran Reddy and Bharath Chowdary under Blue Planet Entertainments banner, their second venture after Nene Raju Nene Mantri.
